When does the RFP process begin? Print This  Save This E-mail This Talk About This ( 0 ) Question:  When does the RFP process begin?   Answer:    The Request for Proposals (RFP), which will take the initial form of a Letter of Application (LOA), for VPPSA funded violence prevention programs is expected to be issued in early October 2005, pending City Council approval.  The LOA will be issued by the City of Oakland’s Department of Human Services in coordination with the Oakland Workforce Investment Board.  When it is issued, it will be available in a downloadable form from www.oaklandhumanservices.org/initiatives/VPPSARFP.htm and in hard copy form at 150 Frank Ogawa Plaza, 4th floor.  Currently, it is anticipated that the RFP will be issued in early October and due in mid-November.  Contracts would be for one year with two one-year extensions.
